I grew up in a small, rural farming community in northern Pennsylvania. I am the youngest of five children. I came to know Christ as Lord of my life when I was 14 years old. I rarely attended church as a child because I grew up in a non-Christian home. However, as I entered into the teens years i found my self surrounded by a group of Christians that all attended one of the churches in my hometown.
I began attending the youth group and the church service on Sunday mornings. The Lord began to reveal to me my need for His salvation, though I was a "good" kid I began to understand that salvation was not of my works but of Christ alone and though I seemed good I began to realize my need for a Savior.
I continued to grow in my walk with Him through my teenage years. However, those years were also marked with some times of rebellion, poor choices and lessons in god's amazing grace.
After attending a Christian college for a year i decided to join the Marine Corps. During this time the Lord was also confirming a sense of calling into the ministry.
After boot camps and technical training I was stationed on Okinawa, Japan. There I began to connect with the chaplain as began to co-lead a bilingual study for Okinawan nationals at the base chapel. That experience began to reveal to me the simplicity, yet depth and power of God's Word.
Once my year long deployment on Okinawa was complete I was stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ.
I began attending Calvary Chapel Yuma in February 2006. After attending a few months the Lord opened a door for me to start a Bible Study for the teens of that small church. This group began to grow not only in number but also in depth. We would gather each week for a time of worship, prayer and a verse-by-verse teaching on God's Word. By God's grace I continued leading that study until 2001.
In June 2002 I was married to my beautiful wife, Megan. Six-weeks after our wedding we packed up a moving van and moved to Harrisburg, PA where I accepted a call as youth pastor at a non-denominational church.
I served in Harrisburg for five years. My lat two years there I really began to sense the Lord calling us into missions. We spent much time in prayer, reading articles, books and attending seminars on missions. Finally, through the series of events and conversations the Lord focused our attention to Gospel for Asia. After a several month process of support-raising and faith building our family arrived at the GFA Headquarters in November 2007 where I serve as a Home Team Missionary, assisting our native brothers and sisters on the field in some of the world's most unreached villages.
